Unless there is someone you can’t forget… or who can’t forget you. That uneasy feeling of being watched, a suspicious shadow beneath the willow tree, that clink of silverware in the kitchen that hopefully was the cat… are you being obsessive or obsessed over?

Sometimes comedic, sometimes horrific in consequences, obsessions possess us all. Give me a story of or about obsession. Any genre, any rating, any fandom or original work, poetry, prose, art, or doujinshi. I am placing no limits on anything!

All participants get a banner but there are two special banners to compete for. People’s Choice will be given to a voted favorite. In the case of a tie, an extra vote will be polled. Silver’s Choice will be given to my favorite of the dark/horror genre entries. After all, this is my obsession…

Feel free to cross post this in as many communities and journals as you want. It is an open call to all writers and artists. Entries can be made by commenting in the original post or may be emailed to me. Your due date is October 31, 2007. I can’t wait to see you here!

That image is so beautifully melancholy and evocative that it makes me wanna write a fic to fit it, lol. And I gave up fic writing ages ago after my four Naruto one-shots. They were fun and I still like them, but...I dunno. I just never did any more.

Anyway, beautiful picture! It reminds me of some of the ones on my faves list at Etsy. HEHE :D

:) Write a short or a poem then, or even a true story. A paragraph of description, a story of the fae. Take a photograph evocative of obsession. I just want to encourage the inner artisan in everyone no matter what their medium of expression.

Is there a word count limit? I've started something but I don't know where it's going and it's looking like it might be a short story rather than something as brief as most oneshots. I'm not sure yet, I can probably change it or edit it down later, or write something else.

I also have a photo that might work, but it probably won't be understood, sans-explanation, to anyone who isn't a gardener or possibly a beekeeper.
